State Historical Building Rental Information (Des Moines)
Several locations throughout the State Historical Building in Des Moines are available for rent to the general public, businesses and other state agencies. In addition to meetings & conferences held in small and large rooms, dinners, receptions and weddings can be held in the sky-lit atrium & first floor of the building or on the top level terrace and adjoining room. An auditorium is also available for presentations, ceremonies or lectures. Large, open terraces with views of the Capitol and downtown Des Moines are also available for parties, music fests and other activities.
Your guests will enjoy the museum exhibits, gift shop and library during meeting breaks or between activities. For a variety of special treats and lunches, visit Baratta's, located on the third floor. Other restaurants are just a block or two away throughout the historic East Village Neighborhood.
