Beyond the Pages: Young Writers' Workshop

Join acclaimed author Candace Fleming for a weeklong writing workshop at the State Historical Museum of Iowa. Participants will explore the craft of writing historical fiction and nonfiction while mining Museum collections for ideas and inspiration. Participation is limited to 50 students. Beyond the Pages is open to academically motivated students who will have completed at least 8th grade by June, 2013 and will be enrolled in grades 9-12 for the 2013-2014 academic year. If space allows, exceptions could be made for exceptionally talented and mature students who have completed 7th grade.
