Kimball Pipe Organ Concert at Union Sunday School

Currently a professor at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, Dr. Dixon has toured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Israel, Palestine, and Japan, performing at such historic venues as Westminster Abbey in London and Church Cathedral in Oxford, England. She is currently performing on tour in the Czech Republic.
Dr. Dixon performs for music festivals, schools, and churches around the world, and her recordings are popular on many broadcast including Pipedreams. She is a featured soloist for the International Dvorak Society's "American Spring," and tours extensively throughout the Czech Republic each year.
Dr. Dixon is Chair of the Department of Music at Frostburg State University in Maryland. She is also frequently Organist-in-residence for the Czech Heritage Partnership, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, Iowa, and St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota. Dr. Dixon has twenty years church experience as a music director and associate minister. She is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI).
The 2:30 pm concert, free to the public, is held in an air-conditioned building in downtown Clermont, built originally in 1863 as a Presbyterian Church.. The Union Sunday School congregation, established in 1857, and other denominations used the building for more than a century.
A free reception following the concert will be held in the Larrabee School auditorium, about one block away.
